What makes a Harley-Davidson so special?
When hearing someone ask a question such as "What makes a Harley-Davidson so special?" it nearly makes those of us who are die hard Harley lovers laugh out loud. To begin with, we all know Harley is as American as American can get, that's right that rumble is made right here in the land of the Red, the White & the Blue. Beyond it's deep American roots there are only about a million other reasons a Harley ranks top notch among all steel ponies.
Harley-Davidson has been in business since the early twentieth century and is going strong still today, this is something in itself to be proud of and is for sure a reason to say there is something special about a Harley versus any other brand of bike. There is a sense of nostalgia when riding a Harley, after all they have a history that is quite amazing. The police departments even have kept their nostalgic deal with Harley and many officers to this day depend upon a Harley to carry them around while on the clock. I don't know about you, but if I were an officer I would love that opportunity! Though the cop bikes made by Harley are a far cry from the beauty of any other style; they are souped up to be super bad so that criminals don't get away. Having raw unleashed power under me with a blue light to excuse my speed, heck yeah I would love to be a motorcycle cop when Harley would be my mode of transportation.
Aside from building reliable transportation for our motorcycle officers, Harley makes enough styles to please nearly all tastes and budgets. The awesomeness of this company even makes a few bikes the girls can ride; which in perspective makes sense right? Why not build a hot looking bike to sport a woman around? After all, a Harley is known to attract the girls, why should she not be able to ride her own? Not all women like to ride on the back seat, besides can anything be hotter than a good looking woman riding the sweetest bike on earth? Hardly not, and as a woman who has rode her own, I say "Hats off to Harley-Davidson for making my dreams come true!"
One of the most amazing things about a Harley is that people from all walks of life dig this bike and drool if they don't own their own. It is not uncommon to see Doctors, Lawyers, and all other types of white color employed men and women all rally up for a trip to Daytona Beach, or the long haul to Sturgis. Many of these biker events such as Bike Week, Biketoberfest, and numerous others all have thousands of people riding motorcycles, but none are adored as the Harley is. There are thousands of people that live luxurious lifestyles that can be found cruising around during these famous gatherings, Harley is truly the reason for the event so people who ride Harley's come out of the woodwork for these events.
There are many world renown biker events that can have all breeds of bikes present, but the Harley is one of the most cherished and generally is the most commonly seen bike at an event. There is nothing wrong with a Honda showing up for Bike Week, but if you are riding one don't be surprised to be overlooked for a Harley. Many that have been around Harleys their whole lives will swear they would never sit on any other breed, I surely agree with them. We all have our preferences, mine just rumbles louder than others. As they say, "If it's too loud, you are too old!" So when asked "What makes a Harley-Davidson special?" I will have to stop with this because there are so many more reasons that would turn this into a mini book rather than an opinion based pleasurable read for you. To my fellow Harley lovers, "Ride Safe and keep the shiny side up!" God Blessed America with a Harley!
